The RiCH Vocational Services Job Development Program pairs a client with a highly trained job development specialist to help a client gain and sustain employment.
Our job development specialists learn about the client’s work history, job goals, and support needs while working to develop each client's resume and cover letter. Job development specialists meet weekly with every client to:
- Present each client with a list of tailored job leads
- Help the client make connections with local employers
- Help the client complete applications
- Help the client refine interviewing skills
Specialists also constantly work to develop relationships with hundreds of area businesses, and to consistently increase their knowledge of disability laws, accessibility tools, and advocacy techniques.
Job Development Services through RiCH Vocational Services are designed with a single goal—to help individuals with disabilities find and keep the job that is right for the individual. After employment has been obtained, RiCH Vocational Services staff continue to work with a client and employer to ensure that the client has the support and tools to maintain successful employment for the long term.
